Soft Landscaping aims to produce gardens that work within the existing environment.
Soil and environmental conditions are taken into consideration as part of the garden design, and minimal changes are made to soil conditions, elevations or structures .
Soft landscaping is ideal when soil conditions are good, garden beds are already defined or can be created within the exiting landscape and changes in elevation are not required.

The Garden Design Process
The design process is achieved through a mix of communication, advice and planning which ensures accuracy and an optimum design solution.
The process can range from a single onsite consultation through to a full scale design. This process is tailored based on the client's needs, and is based on the following stages.
Initial Design Consultation
Onsite consultation to discuss your requirements and assess the possibilities and limitations of the site. Potential design solutions and styles are discussed.
Onsite notes and sketches can be provided, or alternatively a behind the scenes site survey and measure can be performed in preparation for a design concept.
Design Concept
A design concept gives an idea of the proposed design with plants in place and hard landscaping areas (i.e. garden walls and paving) shown. It is a summary of our understanding of your requirements following the initial visit.
Design concepts are ideal for improving existing gardens, or where garden beds are already in place.
Final Design
The final design is a detailed garden plan depicting the garden to scale as it is to be planted, including any features. A planting plan is included which details the exact species with botanical name, location of the plants and the number of plants required.
The Perfumed Garden can provide all the plants required for the installation, delivered directly to your door.
The Perfumed Garden offers a complete installation service, however if preferred, you can install the garden yourself.
The Perfumed Garden offers a Project Management service as part of the garden design process.
Using our skilled contractor trade partners (or your own if you prefer), we can take the stress out of your garden installation by overseeing the project and managing each stage of the process.
The Perfumed Garden offers a plant supply service as part of the garden design process.
All plants supplied by The Perfumed Garden are sourced via our known and trusted suppliers and often 'hand picked' by the designer ensuring quality.
Taking advantage of this service means that all plants can be delivered to your door at once to save you the hassle of finding all the plants yourself.
Once delivered, plants can be installed by yourself as per the plan, can be laid out in position by the garden designer for you install, or can be installed by The Perfumed Garden as part of the service.
Garden Installation
Once your garden design is complete, clients can choose to install the gardens themselves or take advantage of our complete installation service.
The Perfumed Garden uses a combination of their own skilled staff and known and trusted contract trade contractors to ensure gardens are installed to a high standard and as per plan.
Al installations are overseen by the garden designer.
The Perfumed Garden provides plantman \ horticultural services to the construction industry, inlcuding builders and architects who require information and advice regarding plant suitability and requirements for a site.
This service assists architects and builders select suitable trees and plants that will not only compliment their structural designs, but ensure that are suited to the environment to provide the best chance of survival and also minimise any risks to structures.
